Welcome to Seeff Atlantic Seaboard & City Bowl's Brand New Camps Bay Office

Sun-drenched beaches, dreamy turquoise water and an array of ultra-high-end restaurants along its famed strip. Camps Bay is as beautiful as it is cosmopolitan and there are so many reasons to love it.

While Seeff has been synonymous with Camps Bay since its establishment, we've recently relocated our office to the beautiful bustle of the town's shopping centre (which now boasts a Woolworths much to everyone's delight).

Speaking of boasting, in 2021 - our outstanding agents made R400 Million in property sales, securing Seeff over a third of the market in Camps Bay. Not too shabby for the times.

Meet some of the big players

A breathtaking setting deserves an all-star cast and that's exactly who calls our Camps Bay location home. Meet the Camps Bay team and get to know what they love most about one of Cape Town's most desired suburbs.

Lyn Pope
Property Consultant - Full Status Sales Agent, Lifetime Achiever

Lyn's been with Seeff for over 16 years and, perhaps even more impressively, has been a resident of Camps Bay for 42 years! In her own words, she has no plans to leave. And it's totally understandable as to why. When asked what she loves most about living there, Lyn lists the vibey palm-fringed promenade with its stylish restaurants and swanky restaurants, the sparkling allure of the Atlantic, the spectacular sunsets and the endless opportunities for great people watching.

It's more than a little obvious as to what makes it an attractive place to invest in real estate, so we didn't bother asking that question. However, we did ask for some cheeky market predictions.

The short of it is that it's time to buy now. "The market has turned, bringing more international buyers wishing to invest in our beautiful country. We are used to roller coaster rides in our industry. However, now is a good time to buy while stock is selling fast and before prices may push up due to more demand than supply - something we're already seeing become evident."

Pola and Nadine Jocum
Property Consultants - Full Status Sales Agents, Platinum and Lifetime Achievers

Pola and Nadine, are a powerful mother and daughter partnership who specialise in luxury property sales in Camps Bay.

A legend in the world of real estate and beyond, Pola has been 'selling up a storm' in Camps Bay since she entered the field as an estate agent, now Property Practitioner since October 1979.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and her daughter, Nadine, follows suit, cementing an 18-year partnership that doesn't show signs of slowing down.

But, more than dominating the real-estate scene, these two moguls have actually lived in Camps Bay for over 55 years and are passionate about its natural beauty, citing the amazing landscape of forest, sea and beach promenade nestled by Table Mountain and Lion's Head.

"My late husband and I decided that Camps Bay was the place for our children to live and to go to school," said Pola, belying the idea that Camps Bay is just for the glamorous set.

Nadine added that the feeling of space and fresh air gives them the sense of being in the country with the proximity to the city centre they need.

"We both love the mountains, the beaches and promenade, facilities such as the Promenade Shopping Centre, restaurants, sporting clubs and churches/synagogues, and convenience of the short drive to the City Centre and V&A. In fact, you can enjoy a comprehensive lifestyle and have the choice of residential peace and quiet, or join the cosmopolitan trendy crowd of the busy beachfront."

Having experience selling property in Camps Bay since the 1970's, Pola has seen values continue to appreciate dramatically and with almost no more vacant plots. She stressed that even during years of global economic downturn, the Camps Bay market bounces back.

"I have invested in Camps Bay, so I put my money where my mouth lies, and have seen my investments grow. Property has capital appreciation and continues to do so."

Nadine and Pola have entered 2022 with record sales, and have a word to the wise for buyers and sellers thinking of taking the plunge this year.

"Whether you are a seller and need to change your lifestyle or a buyer who wants to secure your dream home, the time to buy or sell in your suburb of choice, Camps Bay, is always now......you just may miss the boat!"

Edith Marsh
Property Consultant - Full Status Sales Agent

Edith is a long-term resident of Camps Bay, who is passionate about the area and takes great pride in the well-being of the suburb, citing multiple involvements in community projects and initiatives.

Edith has built up a consistent record of sales with repeat business from both sellers and buyers alike.
Clients rely on her thorough knowledge of zoning and local restrictions applicable to the suburb. Integrity is paramount With Edith. She is enthusiastic, has a caring nature and the ability to match each clients' desire and can skillfully feature a home's unique presence and character.

Aside from being an unbeatable suburb for locals, Edith mentions that Camps Bay is also a prime holiday destination suburb, resulting in high rental income opportunities for those looking to invest.

"The market in Camps Bay has been very active in the past year with record sales. It is an excellent time to buy and sell."

Christine Ireland
Property Consultant - Full Status Rental Agent

Christine's been renting properties in Camps Bay for the last 8 years, specialising in long-term rentals. She loves the relaxed holiday atmosphere and the ease of access to town, citing Bakoven Beach and La Belle restaurant as her two favourite haunts.

"Camps Bay still has a village atmosphere with great government schools, parks, sports facilities and no high rise developments. It is also close to The International School in Hout Bay and the German and French schools as well as Reddam in Green Point for those who have children."

Christine has rented and managed many properties over the last eight years and work closely with the sales agents in the area. Her children went through the Camps Bay school system, so she's emphatic about the fact that Camps Bay is suitable for families as much as though looking for the seaside glamour.

Pascale Papas
Property Consultant - Full Status Rental Agent

Pascal's a Camps bay local, having grown up in the area she now services with pride.

"I grew up in Camps Bay so it will always feel like home to me. I have many memories of walking to the beach, walking up the mountain and playing with neighbours in the streets. 20 years later, Camps Bay still offers the same lifestyle to young families - except with a Woolworths now which is definitely a huge upgrade!"

She agrees that Camps Bay is a perfect place to raise a family.

"You have easy access to all necessities in the Promenade Centre and great schools in the suburb and surrounding areas."

Pascale mentions that for the first time in three years, rental prices are on the rise. The work from home revolution has meant that more people have moved into Cape Town from neighbouring provinces like Gauteng and Kwazulu Natal. While this has meant an increase in demand for houses (specifically in the R30 000 - R50 000 region), landlords whose properties are returning to the market could see a significant increase in rental return.

Our door is open
