Seeff Cares: A Heartfelt Visit to Good Hope Park Retirement Community

Category News

In a fast-paced world, where everyone's busy chasing their dreams, it's easy to overlook the power of human connection. Fortunately, some organisations remain true to the essence of community. Seeff Cares, the corporate social initiative group of Seeff Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl, is one such shining example.

Seeff Cares, which has made a name for itself in prioritising corporate social initiatives, is grounded on four foundational pillars - care for the elderly, dedication to animal welfare, commitment to the environment, and the well-being and education of children.

While much of this year saw Seeff Cares directing its efforts towards children - evident from their active sponsorship of the Homestead sports tournament and an enlightening visit to Westridge High where they talked about potential futures - a recent event had them shift their attention towards the elderly.

Last week, in a heartwarming initiative, Seeff Cares made its way to Good Hope Park, a renowned retirement community in Mouille Point. The connection to Good Hope Park is not just a professional one; it's deeply personal. Not only do several agents list properties in this community, but many also have beloved family members residing there, making this visit even more significant.

Seeff Cares did not come empty-handed. They orchestrated a delightful high tea event, generously sponsoring an array of delicious cakes and treats. To elevate the experience, live entertainment was offered, featuring the talented Mischa Smith from Seeff Beats. This gesture was more than just a simple meet-and-greet; it was a statement that the elderly are valued and cherished.

Rowena Childes, one of the passionate members of Seeff Cares, reflected on the day, stating, "It was a great turnout, and it was so wonderful to connect with them and get to know them. I think what you realise is that giving your time is the most valuable contribution and the one that means the most. People just crave company at the end of the day, and it was so wonderful that we were able to give a bit of our time."

It's said that real wealth lies not in one's bank account but in the hearts that one touches. The recent initiative by the Seeff Cares team - including dedicated members like Rowena Childes, Alan Screen, Sara Noone, Talya Codron, Tamar Cheerin, Pascale Anastasia Papas, and Suzy Davies - stands testament to this truth.

In a world craving genuine connections, initiatives like these not only foster community spirit but also remind us of the importance of kindness, understanding, and togetherness. Kudos to the Seeff Cares team for showcasing the sheer power of compassion.
